Learning for a more just
and sustainable world

Teachers

What we did

We worked with over 25 schools in 9 local authorities supporting teachers to develop their skills as Teach Global Ambassadors. We worked with local authority representatives and project teachers to develop a strategy for the on-going support of Global Citizenship in their local area. This process continues to be support by the local DEC and highlights the importance of partnership working and a very successful outcome for the project.

Partners

The project was a collaboration between Youth Career and Advising Centre Kaunas, Lithuania and IDEAS. In Scotland we worked with Dundee, Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, Perth and Kinross and Dumfries and Galloway local authorities.

Resources

We have now developed the curriculum part of the website where you will find Global Citizenship resources to support all subjects. The work developed by the Teach Global Ambassadors is also there.

Conclusions

We believe this project highlights some great examples of good practice in partnership working and in mentoring teachers to develop as leaders of learning. The full report can be viewed here.
